.wendil releases new live song, a fundraiser for families affected by COVID-19

Last month, .wendil’s Nighttime Fire EP turned one; to coincide, the artist has released a new live song—called “Better”—as a fundraiser. All proceeds will be going directly to hungry and neglected families displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic. You can purchase the song at a pay-what-you-want price via the artist’s Bandcamp page – wendil.bandcamp.com

“I couldn’t help but get all emotional thinking about how you’ve helped make my first year as a musician so special. Thank you for being there! Thank you for supporting the EP, sharing it with your friends, coming to watch us live, and cheering for me on social media! It was an absolute dream, thanks to you!” shares Mika Manikan.

“The new song is about second chances, new life, and shedding light to those who have been in darkness for a long time. As we move forward on to a new kind of normal, there are others out there who are still struggling or unable to get back on their feet because of the lockdown.

“Me, my girl Kurvine, and our friend Basil Joe worked on this together, and we’re so excited to bring it to you. Thank you so much in advance for your support, for sharing, for letting others know, and for continuing to be kind!”
